Trigger points may be located anywhere along the body, but most often are in the neck region along trapezius, neck muscles, and can contribute to tension headaches, chronic fatigue, and interrupted sleep.

Trigger points may develop following acute trauma such a motor vehicle accident resulting in whip lash injury, poor posture, repetitive movements, or be part of a condition such as fibromyalgia.

What are Trigger point injections?
Trigger point injections (TPI) are a simple, in office procedure which involves injecting local anesthetic, sometimes mixed with steroid into multiple taut active muscle bands, to help relieve the tension, which often improves pain and range of motion of the affected region.
